To wrap up Pride Month,
Native Citizen was honored to welcome Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher to our Montrose studio as part of her annual Pride Month Business Visit, in partnership with the Greater Houston LGBT Chamber of Commerce. The visit spotlighted LGBTQ+-owned small businesses across Texas’s Seventh Congressional District—and we were proud to be one of them.

Congresswoman Fletcher—longtime LGBTQ+ ally and champion for equality—
spent the afternoon touring our space, engaging with our team, and learning more about our mission to design for everyday, active living. Her visit served as a powerful reminder of the importance of visibility, advocacy, and supporting local LGBTQ+-owned businesses.
Though Native Citizen has only been a Chamber member for less than a year, we’ve felt nothing but welcomed.
As designer James Hunter puts it, “It’s not only great for social engagement but great to feel empowered with the LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.”
That sense of community and connection was on full display when we hosted one of the Pride 5 Mixers
Right here at our Montrose studio as well. The event brought together members from EPAH, the Houston Bar Association’s LGBTQ+ Committee, and the Stonewall Law Association of Greater Houston for an evening of meaningful conversation and collaboration.
We’re grateful to the Chamber for including us in this initiative and look forward to growing alongside this inspiring community year-round—not just during Pride Month.
